Type 2 / Bay window single cab, 1979 original UK registered right hand drive in excellent condition.
The pick up has had a full restoration within the last 5 years with 2 full photo albums of the whole process and a new 1600cc engine which pulls like a train which has never let me down.
The interior is all new and in superb condition with new seat covers, carpet, headlining etc.
The colour is a green/blue and the paint is spot on.
The hoops and tilts were supplied by Stuart at VW Canvas Works and are copies of the original VW parts. I have had a white and red PVC cover made for the back and both of these are skirted all round and fit really well. These are better than the canvas covers in my opinion as they are washable, don't rot and can take vinyl or painted graphics.
The treasure chest storage area is clean and dry and in great condition. The chassis and underneath is very clean and in the same colour paint as the body and has been treated with engine oil to keep it that way.
There is a hardwood frame for the back to protect the flat bed which is not fixed and easily removed.

The van is taxed until June and MOT'd until December.

A rare right hand drive single cab which will only go up in value if kept in its current condition and will be a great investment which you can enjoy.

This is a great pick up and is not far off being a show winner if that's what you want, otherwise it would make a great promotional van or food truck.
