  1. Hi . im running a 1641 with twin 34 ict's and a stock pump ? ive had a few conflicting views about running a fuel pressure regulator ?

Is it needed with a stock pump ????? some people say yes so as to prevent needle and seat damage and over fuelling.
some people say only really needed with an aftermarket electric pump !

your views if you please :)

I haven't known the need for a regulator on a stock pump with twins. I would imagine they use about the same amount of fuel as a 34 pict 3.

  3. cheers Horts thats what i though as fills a stock carb ok and wouldn't of thought 2 small 34's would be a problem but im not that up on carbs and pressures and all that ! :)

A stock pump can give up to about 7 - 9bar (or is it psi?) my twin solex need 3.5.....

  5. Dont suppose anyone knows what the webber 34's like to run at ?

  6. think it might be 2.5,i did run a regulator on mine originally then took it off and found the carbs run fine(after i sorted the spluttering, see other post)did not like the look of the regulator i had,it was the chrome one, can't think where i got it,one of usual suspects i know that much.

Mmm maybe I'll try mine without then. Both Roddy and Ash told me they run in excess of 7 psi when I fitted mine at Techenders??

  9. The aftermarket electric ones run at 3-4 and I'm not running a regulator, all seems fine. Don't know about stock. They didn't have regulators originally so I guess it should be fine
