  1. Go a bit more done to the steering, made the shaft up out of the mg shaft and bay coupling
    [IMG]

Then trail fitted it to the bus to get a measurment for the torque tube
    [IMG]

    The lower flange offered up
    [IMG]

Welded the motor mount to the tube

    Mounted to the epas unit
    [IMG]

With the unit all mount into the van ready to tack the bottom plate
    [IMG]

Fully welded the bottom mount together ready for paint

Going to paint it all today then my mate is coming during the week to have a go with the new ecu controls to see how we go but I think it's actually going to work!!!

    Geeky vid!!

  2. Big news.......it's working! Had my mate Danny round to power it up, he built the controls to run the ecu which work but we need to mess with the hz of the speed sensor input as its to high and the steering is at minimum power level.

Dan is in the vid and as you can see there's is a vast improvement but not quite right yet, very exciting though!!!

    Ps sorry about the language...

  4. So it's finally finished!! Mounted the ecu behind the dash
    [IMG]
And used the power socket on the dash to mount the pot that controls the assistance level.

Been for a test drive and its amazeballs, I mean with the power turned up its pretty numb but this ain't no sports car is it. Parking is a brees and its quite responsive.

Will post a vid when photobucket gets its finger out!

  14. Tbh I totally agree and was thinking of running a second speedo cable from the passenger front wheel to some sort of trigger wheel and inductive sensor. But now I have driven it (only 10mins) I'm Gona take it out and play first cos I have a feeling there might be a sweet spot as it is. I was surprised how at speed I couldn't feel it even with it on max assistance.

  15. You can get a sensor that fits between the speedo and cable, only a couple of inches long

  16. Where from? Is it the same as the litesteer one? Wonder if it's the right signals
