Power for hazard switch?

  1. I have a red cable with a female spade connector (taped up by me just in case) hanging down from the dashboard, it's connected to the hazard switch. Can someone tell me where it connects to as I can't see anything obvious, back of the fusebox maybe? The strange thin g is everything's working ok as far as I know.

  2. Is it an original-looking cable? Brass crimp on the end?

  3. Yes, must be off the fuse box eh

  5. Do your hazard lights work ignition off?

  6. Sorry for the delay.. Yes they do work with the ignition off

  7. Mmm,red wire should be to the fuse box, perm live so the hazards work ignition off.
Really need to know what terminal on the switch this red wire is connected to.

  8. As is sometimes the case, maybe I should've opened my eyes/engaged brain before posting. The cable in question is tee'd off the hazard switch power lead (30), so is evidently a feed for something else, haven't found anything that doesn't work though.

  9. It’s pretty common to use this as a perm live for eg stereos. Given the hazard switch location relative to a stereo, it’s easier to tap in to this than a separate line for the stereo to the fuse box
I wouldn’t worry about it. Disconnect or make safe
