Pop top lining?

  1. How would the inside of a poptop be finished?
Ours is just fibreglass with no head lining etc, is this how it should be or has the headlining been removed at some point?
  2. Mine is how you describe and it looks a right mess . Anything has to be better than it is. It's a magnet for condensation to settle on .
I've thought of using the stretch carpeting on it
  3. Weren't they flocked??
  4. Vinyl ? What sort / age is your pop top . 31C9EB67-1CE6-4890-BF07-EF19BB9F0EE0.jpeg
  5. we have just re-done our late Devon roof..... 25mm of polystyrene with a 3mm ply under that, it had a vinyl covering on that but we have replaced that with some maps...

  6. Depending on the type of roof, the stretch carpet is a cheap and easy fix.
  7. Thought I'd got more photos. But no ![IMG][IMG]

  8. I will take some photos over the weekend.
Assume its original and believe its a '72 Danbury.

It would be nice to tidy it up a bit.
  9. Navigation of course, while driving, is done with mirrors!
  10. 9 years ago I stuck 25mm celotx to the roof then a sheet of ply
Then stuck maps of some of our favourite places on it following a couple of coats of varnish over the top.

  11. Not a great photo but shows how it is at the moment, just unfinished fibreglass

That's because it's a highly secret MoD site where they keep the failed cloning and cybernetics experiments.
