Photobucket finally got sick of me being over their picture quota.

For the past god knows how many months Photobucket have been sending me emails saying i'm over their 25MB picture limit and will have to pay to upload more pictures or share them on 3rd party sites.
Logged in today and they've obviously given up trying to get me to pay and just deleted all the piccies i had on there.


I wonder how many more people have empty albums on their accounts now?

I gave up on Photobucket when they started the pay thing... been relying on Tapatalk keeping the photos free and forever!.. and photo uploads are quite easy...

25MB is about 20 pictures. I have about 3000 on mine (about 35GB at the last count), atleast 2000 of those of my bug resto.

 

Nowhere on the site does it say we'll delete your pictures if you don't pay.

 

Pants!.. are the anywhere else.. google photos ?

They're all on my computer still but the first 40 pages of my bug resto on here are pictureless now. Gonna take a while to upload them from my computer. Took me 2 weeks to do the one on VZi.

 

They’ve done the same to me . I lost for good loads of memory’s . They are all doing it though ,everything you do now it’s send us your details or pay for this or else ! If it’s free it’s a trap ,if you pay they will want more !

 

I use Google Photos and have no complaints, unlimited storage at no charge ( because I have a Google Pixel phone).

 

They have been warning they would do this for over a year the same with Flickr.

I think it was because they were losing money as they weren’t allowed to sell your details anymore.

I moved mine over to Google pics as they already own my soul

 

They arent deleted just hidden until you pay.

As it was once said " There aint no such thing as a free lunch".

If they cant sell your children and your life details to the devil and gain cash that way, they have to try to make you pay.

 

I don't have a pixel but i use the free unlimited (15Mb photo) Google Photos...I just found out how to link pics to Google Photos to here on tinterweb page!.. happy days ..

Edit.. or perhaps not.. looks fine on the desktop no pics in Tapatalk...!

Weirdly, they seem to have blocked the image that I was using as my signature on here, but my old bug build thread on vzi still seems to have all its pics.

 

My resto thread on here is ruined thanks to that lot, on the SSVC they have found a way to show all the pictures

 

If you're getting it for free, then beware, you might be the product....
