I found out today that if i fill the petrol tank to the top, petrol p****s out the bottom of the van.... not right!!

Guess there's another problem that needs solving :D

  2. Rusted through on the top or maybe throught where the sender sits? Tank out job me thinks.

its the filler neck rubber thats perished, tell tale sign is when you brimm it...its a pain in the neck!!

  4. I've had a bit of bother with mine today too, yours sounds like breather pipes leaking joints are 4 behind the fire wall and a common culpit if the fuel is peeing out on the opposite side to the fuel filler cap there is a joint behind the spare wheel well.

^ also true, where is the petrol coming from, can you pinpoint an area?

I'd suggest doing the breathers and the filler neck all at the same time...just in case

    Hi peeps....

when parked to the kerb it came out the near side, behind the spare wheel, plus a few drips in the petrol station by the offside.

I wondered about breathers and the filler myself, but for now will keep the level down!!

Some of you may remember that I have had a local garage take the tank out for the sender to be replaced and it didn't prove to good an experience... I sincerely hope this isn't a continuation of that :/

  7. My leak appears to be coming from the sender itself (brand new) leaking out of the top where the terminals come out, I too will be keeping the level down.
