I appear to be missing some wafers and springs

 

I've a key that'd fit that if you need it

 

I’d imagine a tea spoon handle would fit that

 

I think i have a bag of wafers somewhere from bay barrels. I'll have a search.

 

I think you had a look for me before zeb and couldn’t find any.

 

I'm more organised now. Maybe.

Problem is i know i have a load of T25 ones, some bug ones, golf mk2 ones and bay ones. Working out which are which is the challange as i don't know the size of the ones which will fit a bay without having an empty barrel here to try them in.

 

I think we all have a key that will fit

 

Is there anywhere that sells complete barrels matched to the key number?

I’d need two cab door,ignition and rear tailgate.

 

I think I've heard of a bloke called Dave at dubkeys. He builds locks to key etc, I think.

He mentions re keying to the ignition key which makes me wonder if that can’t be re keyed

Custom and Commercial have a lock shop they rebuilt a Bug decklid lock to my original key.

 

Found the lock wafers but they're not bay ones as they're too wide to fit in the broken barrel i have. Must be golf one.

 

I spoke to dave @ dubkeys i cant remember exactly but i think they have a different wafer combo, he will sell you a set for one lock for a tenner i think based on your ignition code, you may be able to reuse others from other locks tho so prob worth just trying one first

 

I’ve built the lock and handle back up and fitted it.
I’ll come back to rekeying it at a later date.
Surprisingly it doesn’t unlock with any of my other keys.

 

Terrible lack of prep prior to paint again

 

Could someone be so kind as to put up a picture of the inner front panel with dash and kick boards fitted please.

I’m prepping this area for paint at the moment and I’m trying to figure out how much metal work shows when it’s all built up.
