SOLD Hi, I have a pair of Type 4 2 Litre heads - they were taken off a donor engine i have for a build and look in good condition. I have had a good look at them and there are no cracks and all the plugs screw in nice and easy aswell. They are oval port ones (i think!) so worth checking your heat exchanger connectors. One chamber has a bit of pitting in it which i wouldn`t think would effect any performance - see close up. SOLD
They’re oval port, someone has messed with some of the exhaust studs and something has gone through one of the cylinders causing minor damage but good value at £160 for a pair of type 4 heads.
Thanks - I wasn't sure what to price them at as always had type 1 before. Glad to hear I got it about right!
i`ve got some 1.8 heads which have ever so slightly bigger valves - its way off in the future though, i`m just trying to get some space (and cash) back at the mo
Perhaps people are put off because they’re grubby (the heads, not the people)? It might be worth cleaning them up in a parts washer – or dishwasher if you’re brave.
I still have these and keep falling over the box in the garage! Could do with a clean. but no cracks and are in good condition. Cheers
