Ozzy gearbox.

  1. Can someone put me straight on this? I've heard that Ozzy 2 litre late Bays were fitted with a longer-geared 4th gear, reducing revs at top cruising speed. Is this true? If it is, perhaps these gearboxes were only fitted to Ozzy Bays built in Australia? The factory closed in '77 I believe and for the next 2 years they were imported from Germany. Were those later German ones also fitted with the longer 4th gear?
