Last Thursday I stopped by at a friends place (Classic Air in Bournemouth) and we took the old engine out and replaced it with a new one (1776 Thurrock engine from the Engine Shop). So far it's been 160 drip free much more power free miles. Here are some pictures. This was the old one, it was leaking oil from somewhere, we didn't know where though. This was the start of it. This was the new lump ready to go in. Bits being disconnected. Engine out. Bits out being scrubbed clean. Engine being reassembled. Getting there. Ready to go back in. Back in. Nearly done. Engine up and running. So, 160 motorway miles later and there is not a drip of oil anywhere and it pulls like a horse. We didn't fine the source of the leak however we suspect that it may have been due to poorly fitted parts. My old oil pressure sender was used and that is leak free!!! All in all i am one happy bunny this weekend. 8)
ohh I'd love a bigger engine, which is funny really as we havent actually been anywhere with the one we have in Luu at the minute :-[
