started a thread a few months ago maybe 6month with mi blue panel conversion then the site colapsed will be posting pics again soon hope you dont mind but ive been busy with the mk1 gti
took about six months of hard nites and weekends to eventually end up like this! And was used all throughout spring and summer 2011, shows and campsites around the country
Mind you still fair bit to do will post some pics up of the work carried if anyones intrested and of the work im doing at the mo
cheers mate had a load of bodywork to do new arches front panels door skins ect just on with the engine now! although it ran great for us last year ,i wanted to clean up the engine bay and sort bits of rust out in this area. and i thourght i may aswell do all the engine oil seals as it leaked a bit good smoke screen device tho!
took the tank out and found loads of rust but not rot thankfully put pics up soon cut out all ther rust and let new metal in painted the tank area and and the tank replaced all the breather pipes repaired the tank straps cleaned and repaired all the tinware deep breath repaired the chassis sections blah blah blah!
thanks for the replys guys had the van nearly two year now had loads of fun and use out of it last year so thourght it was only rite to sort the engine and bay been in a stripped stae for about a month now hope to get it all sorted and back together even runnig by next week as volksworld show is looming never been many of you lot going
