Now I've got your attention!.....as a birthday treat I've been under the old girl, putting nipples in the front beam where they were missing. Can anybody give me an idea of how much grease a beam takes ? Just pumped at least half a tin into the top left hand nipple and nowts come out yet.....was off to get a new tin, but think I might need 2.

I can't quote an actual amount but I found it's a lot more than expected. If the nipples were missing it's fair to expect it hadn't been greased for a while, just keep pumping it in 'till it squeezes out!

I did it when I got the bus and it took about 3 of the tubes

  4. As meltman says it takes more than you expect
Make sure you do it with the front wheels off the floor.

Would like to think that the beam would have been greased at service....however I think I'll get a couple of tubs !

That's the steering idler I Think, not the beam ones.

  10. There’s 5 in total
Top and bottom tube near the inner side of the beam towers on both sides
And the central one for the steering swivel pin

My beam has been narrowed so will it still have them?

  12. An awful lot of grease goes into the front beam. Keep pumping until new stuff comes out of the suspension arm bushes.

  13. It should still have them
Get underneath and follow the beam tubes to the chassis rails and you should see them.

  15. It must have them, or the suspension would seize up/wear out. Have a look at the outer ends of the tubes.

  16. The hardest one to get at is behind the servo if you have one. I used a long flexi and a Wanner gun
