Hi guys new to the forum. Just got my second 1979 moonraker project. Hopeing to get stuck into this over the winter and get ready for next summer. Picked it up from Scotland a few weeks ago and is in surprisingly good condition underneath even still got fa tory paint in wheel arches It has the original devon interior in and was just after people opinions whether I should keep it like this or modernise it for a resale point of view? Any comments much appreciated. Thanks darran. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
Hi Darran, welcome from sunny Barnsley. You know how to set off a debate - keep original or modernise. As resale who knows? some like new - some like original. I say do what you like and so long as its good enough you will sell it, if that's what your planning on
Here's the last one I did and sold good but the Interior in it was shot when I got it so had no choice. I like the original look so might stick with it and see how it goes Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
If the original is okay I’d stick with that. Unlikely that the van will increase in value by the cost of a new interior. Welcome along btw
Yea that's what am thinking sure I have enough fun and games ahead of me without creating more work Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
Hi and welcome from another Moonraker nutter! If the original is good, keep it. If you strip it out, it's just another bus. No character!
The cushions are tatty but hopefully can get these recovered something like original. The units are 80% good so will do a job. Has mg tf front seats in tho so not sure if they are staying. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
Hello and welcome from down south in the New Forest. Any pictures of the van and it's original interior? I like what you did with the seats in your previous one
Hi. I have tried to upload more pictures but for some reason it won't work. Anybody else had problems with this. Am using tap talk? Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
Welcome from a fellow Moonraker owner, change my original interior, got a good price, and went for a modern ply copy Half the weight and much sturdier but do what you feel works for you as all the buses are different which is part of their charm
Welcome from another moonraker owner, just tidy up the interior as its a good layout, new interiors cost loads and alot prefer the original look of them.
Does anyone know where u can get cushions reupholstered in nearly the original fabric? Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk
