New lock set?

Long story short. I need to change the locks and ignition of our van.

I'm not adverse to the new black handles but they only do a set for 74 onwards not for 73 (with old style sliding door). They do do the sliding door seperately but them that would mean another key just for the slider.

Can the black barrels be changed to fit a different key?

Assuming you didn't mind the black handles, what would you do?

  2. as long as the key type is the same, then it's possible to rework the tumblers in the lock to suit the key

Super thanks, I knew this was the case with the chrome ones - thanks for confirming the same applies to the black handles also.

Actually the black lock set wont work because when i asked JK if they had a sliding door handle to match the set and they said yes, what they meant was no. :(

Does anyone know if black handles for the sliding door have ever been made for 1973 vans?
