Due to lost pics i am starting again . I got this roof from ebay after driving 4 hrs each way and payed good money .he ripped of my hand now i know why.
then it got worse i needed anew canvas and remember i had a tin top van and still have to cut out roof . then i met zed and it all started. a week later i was driving to him with it on another roof rack 70 miles away because it was a recommendation .
then i bought two new glass windows toughend and a new perspex vent cap and new handles and hinges. then found out there was a hoop missing that why the first pic is all baggy when i bought it. during this time we found out it was a roof from a bedford or a land rover /vw . identified by one long vent cap. but ordered a new hoop and cut hole too late now to change my mind so due to zed being so patient and clever he sorted it all out, due out next week painted complete top and grp so i am now feeling happy again with my bus. i can now crack on.
Nothing's ever straightforward is it? The replacement perspex vent cap wasn't deep enough for the hinges - the bottom fixing holes were in line with the edge. Neatest solution was to trim some height from the upstand (with a grinder cutting disk). That's better. Windows in Evening Ken. No hoop yet...
Looks like you're "getting re done!" Finishing touches and you'll be hanging out inside able to stand and "chillax LOL"
