  3. This is an amazing album on vinyl. Yes, this is the most popular track, but the rest is stunningly good too.

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching For The Young Soul Rebels
Brilliant album, and contains one of my favourite songs of all time - 'Geno'
but in the spirit of lesser known album tracks:

  8. Yep, The Innocents is an album.

  9. Saw him a couple of years ago performing Dirk Wears White Sox in its entireity from start to finish, it was absolutely brilliant:thumbsup: All us blokes of a certain age loved it but some of the slightly younger types were looking a bit confused wondering where Prince Charming was:D

He played here, a couple of years ago, dressed like an old ‘dandy highwayman’.

  14. There has been publicised lately the top 20 of the most collectable albums - I have 3 of them - Led Zeppelin 1, Free Wheelin Bob Dylan and Beatles Please Please me - so I will pick another of my favourites - Disraeli Gears - Cream . Sunshine of your Love and Strange Brew were the stand out tracks - but they are all great.

  16. One of my favourite albums of the last few years. Designed to be played on vinyl in two parts, each half has a beginning and an end. The title track would never be played on the radio, it's too much of a slow burner, but I think it really rounds off the album perfectly.

I do love an album but I start with “shuffle all songs” to get me to an album I should listen to all the way through.

The ones I love to listen to all the way through are the ones I had on tape in my Walkman as a teenager... the option to skip track just about appeared in my last Walkman!!

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape,
Pearl Jam - Ten, Vitology, No Code
    The Nirvana Albums,
    Rage Against the Machine...

There’s a pattern and style there which defines that period of finding music in my teens!!

Zane Lowe (remember him?) did the Masterpiece Albums on his old Radio 1 show. Some of the above were on that list, but OK Computer and The Bends by Radiohead also need a listen through from start to finish in my mind.

    There are others....

I love Mogwai as well, those post rock albums generally feel like a whole piece that needs to be listened through in one go

My favourite all timers that can be listened to endlessly are:-

Never mind the ...here's the sex Pistols,
Power in the darkness - Tom Robinson Band
Germ Free Adolescents - X Ray Spex
    Rocket to Russia - Ramones

and many more I can't think of right now!
