My Ride - 1973 Green Poptop camper

Cheers bud. Zed has given me a detailed list of the bits I need and what I need to do. Only doing little bits so not taking out all the furniture so shouldnt be too bad.

 

This weekends work was respraying the inside of the cab. It worked out very well

The last pic shows the finished job. In the picture you can see the difference in colour more. It looks spot on with the naked eye.

Degreased
Primered
Sprayed

Thanks bud. It was rattle cans made up with the paint code from Halfords. The colour is pretty much spot on. I have herd nightmare stories that people didnt get a close match like this but I was very lucky.

 

Top job Dean - it's all in the prep as they say and it looks great for it.

 

Thank you Steve. Yes there was almost 2 days prep and then spray for about 5 mins.
Was a nightmare as was a bit windy and he cover sheet kept sticking to the paint. All turned out great with a little patience.

 

That's about right - welding's the same - 1 week prep, 20 minutes welding.

Hi, I love the colour of your van, ours is currently in primer stage and about to be sprayed, we were looking to go for L11 pastel green but after seeing your bus I think I have changed my mind!! Is yours L512 velvet green? Cheers
