I have also got rear jacking point and outrigger clamped in place! Next job is to undercoat and underseal inner sill and top hats then hope to tack outriggers in place and middle sill. I then have to repair inner and outer skin on sliding door so I can check position of middle sill!

  2. nice to see that sill go on at last, did you have any problems?

  3. Good work buddy keep it up.

  4. Hi guys thanks for the feedback! As yet not sure if middle sill will be ok, it all seems to fit at the moment but havent tried the sliding door yet as I have to replace bottom 6" inner and outer skins. That is my next job! Away on hols for couple of weeks so will resume in Sept! How is yours going Diddymen?

  5. Mines commin on nicely, I think I've only got about 12 "bits" left to weld ....being really held up at the moment waiting for the front valance as no where has them in stock untill the end of Aug :(

I'd get the middle sill welded on before doing the door repairs personally, as you might end up changing the allignment of the door when welding on the repairs or if you take the brackets off etc, then you wont be able to tell if it is the middle sill or the door thats the problem

    hope that makes sense?

Door will be fine so long as the internal bracket for the bottom roller is intact.

  7. Unfortunatley have to replace inner and outer skin on door including bolt holes for bottom bracket! I have some of the bottom of the inner and outer skin still intact so was going to make a jig with angle iron and screw it into inner skin above damaged area then cutt back to good metal and replace both inner and outer back up to jig so in theory should be pretty good!
Will keep you informed! In Portugal right now so not working on van until sept! Thanks for info

    cheers

This is the jig I made before I cut the panels back. I tack welded to door!

I then prepped the door and the new panels for inner and outer skins! Just need to attach retaining captive nut on vertical section of door that holds bottom bracket in place then ready to spot weld back on!

  13. Nice Stuff keep it up

  14. Thanks outlaw it is good to be back! Lol

Just to give you an idea of what I have done. Hopefully by using the jig the door skin will be both the right length but also the right place in space! If you know what I mean
