  4. Ready this I've realised the English language isn't perfect, as there isn't an verb to describe my thoughts on your progress. It's basically massively fecking impressed and jealous in equal measure!

Keep posting it's a great thread, inspiring and soul destroying at the same time. :)

  5. Was the sound proofing expensive?

  6. To be honest mate i dont know.
I have a mate who has dodo mat in his landy and said it was good. So i didnt really shop around. The closed cell foam pads came to £60 as i bought 2 boxes, and the matting was about £40.
Got enough to do the entire bus.

Best thing is the foam is light, so i'm not adding kgs up top.

  10. Yeah i want to... But have run out. I'll probably buy some more and do the cab floor. Not gonna bother with the cargo floor i dont think.

  11. No. My way of thinking regarding cargo floor is, its inbetween the wheels so not going to generate any road noise and too far from engine to reduce engine noise. As its expensive, may as well use it where its needed and of good use

  12. This weekends update.

    Got the floor insulated

Looking marvellous. I look at this thread and think how fab it would be to do mine the same but lack time, ability, cash and motivation! I shall admire and live vicariously through your resto. Brilliant thread :)

  18. Hi again all, so a big update. The bus is now in paint!

As i did the inside and top, the bottom half cost me £500 all in.

The local paint man come to pick it up.

    Back home

Then i started to put the headliner in.
I got the cab area from diddymen for about £65 i think it was, the other material cost me £60 from wooliestrim. I did it in 4 parts and it was a lot easier than i thought.
