  1. If you need any help or advice, Heiner Smidt athttp://www.eribasar.de/has been a great source, especially any parts that you might need. He's really quick with his email replies.

  9. I don't know why I always buy the sorry cases. I think I like the challenge.

  10. depends on the definition of a good deal!
Probably anything less than £3k for an original early in decent condition would be a very good deal at the moment

IMO, they're just crying out to be polished to within an inch of their lives:

Polishing all that aluminium sounds like setting yourself up for a lifetime of aluminium polishing hell. :)

  15. Agreed. I think the best bet is just to strip the paint off the trims and polish them up.

  16. You can get hand held random orbit polishers nowadays that would make easy work of that

  17. Some people who own Airstream campers (those ultra-light top-o-the line aluminum jobs) polish them, then spray some sort of special clearcoat to seal it.
I'm sure 10 minutes on any Airstream forum would turn up the exact product and details for you.
(How the hell do I know so much trivial crap?)

  19. No mate. I've got a cover coming. Thats about it. My missus said I could only buy it, if I sorted the bus out and then my pug 205. So I can't see me getting on it till next year as I have a newborn coming in October. I did have a member off here offer to do me a pop top canvas so that may well be getting done sooner rather than later. I will keep you all posted
