Music Festivals and Van

I never understand when people say they are not going to something because its 'too commercial'.


SGP is an amazing festival - the party literally never stops.

 

We went for the first time last year and loved it (though it was that warm sunny weekend we had last year, so that probably helped!). We should try to meet up and say Hi! (there were loads of VWs there last year)

I'll have a wander as there have been many late bays each time I've been, maybe even finally get a Tlb sticker to save walking too far. Which bands on the lineup intrigue/interest you and I'll refer to my vast knowledge bank of experience and if not Google.

Definately - We're going without kids this year so we'll be celebrating!

We're going to Glastonwick again (real ale festival with bands selected by Atilla the Stockbroker) - missed out again for Glastonbury in the resale (not at all bitter )
The only other non-Glastonbury festival we tried was Secret Garden in 2006 and it was far too dance oriented for us and too small

 

Yeah that would be ace, we can arrange closer the time.

One of my clients works on the festival's marketing and was telling me that they have spent a lot on making sure the weather can't affect things like it did last year.
Like I said, this is the last chance for them to get it right. 11 hours in traffic last year was hard to swallow.

 

yes, thats my understanding too. they are keen to avoid a repeat if the weather does turn bad.
