Mudflap brackets

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by grub, Dec 28, 2018.

  1. Hi all,

I have just bought some mudflaps that come without brackets.

I then remembered that I had a pair I took off my old 72 very early late bay a few years ago.

As my new bus is a 71 crossover, with a type 4 engine, i assume they will fit?

Question is, does anyone have any idea how they fit, i.e. what bolts to what?

    piccies would be very helpful.

    My brackets look like this..

    Many thanks.

  7. I think your getting confused .. this is the mech tech forum not the 5 year old section

  8. They came on my swedish 72 bay which was all original, original paint, etc. When I removed them they look like they were fitted from new. The mudflaps were oem fitted from new too.
I have never seen any like these before but they look pretty well put together.

  9. The ones pictured above are genuine with genuine rubber .. I’ve had a few genuine sets and all the same as above ..

That said they were dealer supplied so yours maybe but I’ve never seen similar .
