Friday night was curry night Emma & Paul's top-tip for winter: If it gets cold, put on a quilt. If it gets really cold, put on a couple of pooches too. Saturday dawned crisp and bright and lit up the seasonal veg Earlier risers waited patiently for the later ones and mrs. moosey waited for the temperatures to rise until carlot25 finally surfaced from Congi's van Moosey, meanwhile, was overwhelmed with all the pending excitement of the day ahead Puca just enjoyed the sunshine... ...and Charlie and Muggins took in the view... ...but Sophie was waiting to get to the beach Finally, the convoy left the campsite. Wilma lead the charge And Congi Dave brought up the rear We parked up at Lytham St Anne’s under a glorious clear blue sky, and attracted a lot of attention from the public. If you were quick, you could get an unrestricted view of the line-up but before too long, loads of riff-raff came and blocked the view of the vans The beach was easy to find, but the sea was still miles away So Sarah amused herself by doodling in the sand We were joined by some Yips And Julie went and rescued some jivedubbins from the campsite Night closed in It was all getting too much for Moira & Julie The full line-up assembled... As the dubweisers put the finishing touches to a well thought-out theme... ... Zoe just rammed as many lights on as possible Finally, we are underway... we're moving... and now we're queuing We were warned and it turns out that they weren't kidding. Sharon & Sarah remained cheerful but some others got a bit stir-crazy while I learned to love the back of the Yipbus. Two hours in, the convoy had lost a few stragglers and found the rain, but had finally reached some lights (They got better, honest.) Back at the camp, Sarah showed off her work with the carving knife; with the front... ...and the back of the same pumpkin The gazebo got quite full of people, booze, cake, crisps, cheese balls, mince pies and more booze And Paul's chair got a bit wet from the leaky roof. We found something for him to sit on though - never let it be said that we aren't nice to new members! Sunday was wet and hung-over. The AA man came and had a look at the jivedubbin bus but apparently couldn't work his magic, as they had to call him again on the way home. That's the lot! Thanks to Moira & Julie for a fab time, and to BarneyRubble for the bubbles. Lovely to see old friends and to meet some new people, especially Emma and Paul... and of course Paul's nana's sloe gin. :beer_yum: See you all at Tatton!
