Mobylette X1 Folding moped

  1. I bought this about 4 years ago as I thought it was ideal to chuck in the back of the bay if we were camped up with the awning and needed to pop out for supplies without having to move the van. It is registered for the road and I used it regularly to fetch bits of shopping etc. Its certainly good fun and gets a lot of attention!

My circumstances have changed and I need to (finally) get round to moving some bits on and clear room for the new project.

It runs well and I've recently replaced all inner & outer cables with new. Its in very good condition but the casing for the right hand grip has cracked. It hasn't got any worse and doesn't affect the throttle (pic attached).

It has only had one previous registered owner and I have all the history right back to the original bill of sale which is nice! It still has the little tool pouch(and tools) with Mobylette 'M' stamped into it which I haven't seen on any others over the last few years.

They seem to have a bit of a niche following and I'll be sad to see it go as its dead handy and runs forever on a £fiver's worth of petrol.

  7. Hi, I'm located in Chesterfield, about 10 minutes from Junction 29 of the M1.

Scooter should be MOT'd for use on the roads, but I suppose it depends on where you intend to ride it! ;)
It has a lever on the side so you can disconnect the engine and just pedal it along like a sgl speed push bike!
