I have just stripped down a 1600cc TP mexican head down only to find that inlet valves have 8mm stems and exhaust have 9mm stems. Is this standard or have valve guides been worn and reamed out to take 9mm stem valves by a previous restorer. Robert
I've seen both 8mm and 9mm stems. No idea if the the 9mm are oversized or stock. Either way, if they're within spec for wear, they're fine.
