Merlin Pass Theme Parks.. Campsites anyone?

Discussion in 'England' started by Mrs-MK-Bay, Jan 27, 2014.

  1. Hi all, just wondered if anyone has experience of camping around the theme parks?

Looking to take up on the January 1/2 price Merlin pass offer (£79 pp for family pass and I can part pay using double nectar points - result, :) ) we have 2 dogs and 2 kids, and hoping to book some quality weekends with the kids making the most of theme park passes.

Most likely areas will be legoland sites, Thorpe park (for when we get to leave the kids behind !) and alton towers... Obviously the sites need to welcome dogs and kids... Oh yeah, and value for money of course!

    Any advice most welcome :)

  2. I don't know of any campsites near the theme parks but I don't wdogs will be allowed in the parks

  3. We stayed here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1002 when we visited Legoland.
Nice site next to the river but beware as some of the pitches are very close to the M4 Motorway, we were lucky enough to be placed mid way from the entrance so had no issue with noise. Great walk along the Thames to Windsor.

  4. Doggy day care is the plan :)
