A ive got all the panels ready to start welding!!! I'm waiting for restore n more to come back to me with an estimate £££ Or I might just buy a new welder & crack on myself!!!!????
Is there lots of welding to do? More than you thought before you got her? I can't wait to see her when you've finished - are you keeping/re-doing the sign writing? No worries, nose away! We'll be doing the same to other people's to get ideas for leisure electrics etc!
A bit more welding than first thought, but the panels were a bit cheaper than I expected too!!!! Sign writing is staying put, I'm only painting the bits that desperately need it!!!!!!
That's a pain about the welding, but good news about the panels, every cloud... When are you hoping to have her on the road?
Progress - arrived back from a weekend away to two letters from the DVLA - one confirming that the registration had been authorised, and the other enclosing the V5! Whoop, we're nearly there! Now to get the number plates done.
Number plates ordered, arrived and fitted! And now we could hop in and go out on the open road, we've nowhere to go (or at least not enough time to go anywhere we want to go this weekend!). So got her out the garage and put more camping stuff inside, and the boy tested out his bed: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I thought I should probably test the bed too, as you do And added the first sticker (which would have been the Latebay.com sticker, had I not lost it and had to order another!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Since the registration came through and we got the number plates ordered, collected and on just over a week ago, we haven't had time to go out in her. So yesterday, as the sun was shining and we had a free afternoon, we loaded her with drinks and snacks and went out to Burbage Common for a walk in the woods. I'm so excited for our first camping weekend this weekend (albeit less than 5 miles from home), I've started packing already!
Finally had our first proper weekend away in her over bank holiday, it was fab! Didn't take us long to look like we'd moved in for a month: We stayed at Harbury Fields Farm near leamington. It's a caravan club affiliated site, not cheap but most places were booked up already so our options were limited, but it was actually great, and in the middle of nowhere: Oh and just 45 minutes down the fosse for us, so we'll definitely be going back next time we want a quick, quiet getaway!
