  1. Not sure what the deform' panel looks like, have nothing to compare with - new to this T2 thing!
There does seem to be lots of ongoing production changes during '72 thought from what I have read though.

Not to stressed on the bumper thing staying with early bumpers as I like them.

Next challenge is working out which Steering Box we have, as not surprisingly this needs some attention, to cure the Auto Lane Change Facility

deform panel is just a round bumper shaped piece of metal behind the bumper, typically with a "real" late the bumper bolts to it and covers it.
I should point out i'm not nit picking i am interested in the oddities of these vehicles too.

  3. No it's all good not taken as nit picking at all, trouble is you are bringing out my inner geek, not sure the Mrs will thank you though!

Just nipped out even though in pi55ing down to have look & no deform panel Bumper bolts straight to Chassis legs.

So Lola is clearly some kind of Tranny - just not the Ford kind. I think I'm even more confused now:mad:

then you have a real early crossover, probably because it's american - as it's there fault the lights were hightened..... i guess the uk ones still had lowlights for a bit and the "new" ones went stateside. maybe you had "odd" bumpers from new, who knows?

  5. Not me, my best guess is the rear bumper has been replaced at some point in the last 43 yrs, it does not seem to "sit" right. Front is spot on. We just knew the Yanks would be to blame!
