  1. Hi Guys & Girls
Quick hello from South Derbyshire as we are the new owners of a '72 Westy Campmobile Californian Import.
We have named her Lola - seems kinda of right as she is a bit of a cross dresser, rounded bumpers but large lights, type 4 motor. She is totally rot free however her paintwork is a bit shabby & faded, interior all original units are good just minor repairs to handles ect. She is a bit of a go'er mechanics very strong.

Loving the Aircooled real deal after 4 years with T4 which was absolutely brilliant, so if you see Lola coming your way give us a wave & I promise we'll wave back!

P.S love the forum already, have learnt some useful info & used M code reader - very cool.

    Paul & Em

  14. Thanks for the warm welcome folks, (little concerned about certain members dogs however......!) I gather you all love pictures so we will post some as soon as we can. How do we tell which model Westy we have , it has an original sticker on the side of the sink unit saying Campmobile, however should it have a model number - SO.... Something ?

Also how does the cooler work - ice in the tray at the bottom & condensation up the plastic chimney ? Do the really work?

    Thanks
    Paul
