  1. Hi from Estonia

My name is Meelis and this is my story
it will be a long topic with lots of pictures
but there is not much text. although I'm trying to make it through the translation.

it was long ago in autumn 2014
I found an ad where was a vwt2 bus for sale in Estonia
I've always looked at them, but never thought of buying one.
this time it was different I had to buy this bus
After getting more information and getting the pictures, everything was clear
need to go and bring this thing home
    why? don’t know

    pictures from ad

I took my friend and went
The bus was about 205 km or 127 miles away
I watched the bus across from each side
It was not perfect, but I had nothing to do
the heart was sold and there were no other choices

    the bus itself was 1976
    mounted type4 2L engine
    total 9 seats
    and briefly everything
    besides the ugly green color
a lot of rust in the bottom - frame and beams, floor, fenders
worn and 38 years old - thats it

  2. driving home was interesting
the heating did not work because there is a wrong motor and the pipes are not connected
the outside temperature was -2 ° C, or about 28F
the time of the safety car was running out and had to go away - I was alone on the road with an unknown car
there was no problem at all
I got home in one piece
The bus ride well - the maximum speed tested at 130km / h or 81mph

    I was happy – still

I was happy because I did not know what really awaited me

and my wife did not know anything yet

There was a lot of thinking - what's next
One of the steps was car registration and the writing of a new engine in papers

    and then .....
idea was overhaul engine and gearbox, axles and all technical
let body stay like this and enjoy it like year or ....
but why not to do everything ?
In the next 2 months, there was only thinking and planning and no driving

  20. and now there was no turning back
    and budget was way over
my idea that i make only brakes, steering, bushes and maybe engine and gearbox maintenance and leave body as it is - that was gone.

now i had new favorite sites - paruzzi and vwheritage
