Loose wire

  1. Hmm, I'm assuming that this loose wire should be connected to the carb. It comes from the plus side on the coil. There are two wires from the same terminal, and the other one goes to the right hand carb.

  2. Its the wire for the automatic choke(s). The connector its supposed to be attached to is just above the wire in the piccy you posted.

  3. Thought so, thanks :)

  4. that wire looks quite suspect - I would cut back to a big that is in good condition and replace with new - be safe we dont like fires !!

  5.
  6. I remember reading somewhere they should have 10amp fuse if that helps....

  7. Hmm, looked in the book and it says fuse box hold 2 x 16 amp and the rest 8 amp. So is there an inline fuse somewhere? :-

  8. they're not fused....

they just run off the ignition supply....

I once stopped for a guy who'd broken down in a bay... someone in their wisdom had decided to rewire the bus before he bought it, and had put a fuse on the coil feed... it used to eat fuses the guy told me.... :-

  9. So 8 amp should be OK. The 8 amp I have looks thicker than what is already on :-

  10.
  11. Thanks. :)
