Long term westy resto

  3. nice stripes and truck mirrors; but i would have spent the cash on that windscreen edge and a wheel arch...

    But I am boring...:D
     
  4. Whole front panel is rotten/filler/patches so is the arch but not got £400+ to fix them and not likely to ever save that kind of cash up.
    I did have £6 for stripes though.;)

  5. cant believe you've been restoring your bus since 2001 ....makes me think my resto was quite quick :D

    Its great you've been keeping it on the road and using it through out :thumbsup:

  6. yep my kind of resto ,i see no point in buying something and keep it locked in the garage for years...:thumbsup: (conveniently forgets about his own pickup)
     
  7. I could really do with about £2000 of panels throwing at it, but thats not gonna happen unless those 6 numbers come up on the lotto.

  10. buy a bottle of rocket activator 5 mm mixed with your paint and activator it will dry in no time great stuff

  13. Just a few little bits of seam rot and some bird poo scabs on the roof.

  16. Found a few more holes after poking around with a screwdriver. :(

    Everything else seems solid, just the inner front valance thats buggered.

  19. It'll get patched again for another year.
    I think the cab step on the passengers side is possibly just made of filler and the step mat is stuck down with silicone sealer. :oops:
    Not gonna open that [​IMG] though.
