Locking Mech Sliding Door - 79 RHD Panel

    I didn’t build my door up paul did.

    It correct on the ops one
     
  5. So on the rear mechanism where he has the bar at the top with the spring upside down
    And the rod at the bottom is correct

    And on mine with the bar at the bottom with the spring pointing up
    And the rod at the top is incorrect?

    If you open yours @paradox , you should see the angled bit with the plastic on will correspond with the angled part of the latch.

  12. Is it even possible to fit a rhs mechanism to a lhd sliding door?
    It would have to be flipped over yet mine has the part number at the top and the semi circular pressing at the bottom the same as the original posters.

    Looks good, I wouldn’t have thought it possible but maybe, got a picture of the door side ?

    Looks correct, take a picture from the inside of the rods etc in one picture

    How strange, it looks all
    Wrong, the spring needs the ends to be crossed over like the ops post

  18. The strange thing is it works perfectly and the rod with the threaded adjustment sits in the plastic guide block where it’s supposed to

  19. Looking at the spring there is no sign of rubbing etc to suggest it’s ever been crossed over
    When I try to cross it over it starts to twist and the rod with the hook on it won’t reach the location hole on the door.

    That rod looks home made, it’s meant to be under tension, pull harder
