In launderette (vomiting child's bedding) paper hear headline says possible £100 fines for littering to be brought in. I thought we already had fines for littering? (Which get ignored by the scroats who litter, and ignored by the fuzz because they CBA)
As you say, currently ignored anyway. I litter pick on our lane from time to time. Mostly fast food wrappers, fag packets and soft drink containers. Plus fly tipping. I'm sure said people would moan if I dumped my Marmite in their living room. I don't think there's a cure, apart from the death penalty, as not thinking is a way of life for a lot of people.
I'm all in favour of subcontracting litter control to the Saudi Arabian authorities. It's the only way.
if a person is caught doing it , make them pick it up for a couple of months along the road sides and alike , they might have a different attitude then also teach it in schools ....................................................makes you wonder what it will look like in twenty years time .

Our council has the ability to fine but dont implement it because of the paper work, we have habitual offenders up our road and they do nothing about it.Soon get in touch if I'm late with the poll tax though. Gits.

Someone I know just got issued a £100 fine for putting their cigarette out on the floor. She said £100 or even a fine is a joke. Completely misses the point.
The kind of person involved would probably just see it as an opportunity to claim disability instead.
