LHD Wiper Wonk.

  1. Hi Folks,
Anyone had any experience putting a RHD wiper motor on a LHD? I've heard talk of needing to put a new bracket on the passenger side to accommodate it but that's as far as I've got.
Ideally want to sort it before I reattach the dashboard and put the windscreen into its new full metal frame (yeaass!) after finding it had been held in along the bottom by 6" actual metal, a whole load of black sealant and gentle dusting of rust shavings.
    Cheers!

Try some nitrous oxide it could help.

  4. Have I been fallen for the camper equivalent of 'go and get the left handed shovel' on this then? Is it just install the same way as the last one?

  5. Unless you've got an Australian wiper motor? Though I don't know if the motor is even different or just the linkage.

  6. They all swish to the left while looking forward. It was only the Ozzies that made em swish to the right. LHD RHD the same unless Australian van, the new Brazilian motors fit but the locating bolt needs re drilling if I remember correctly

  7. Ok cool I'll look at doing the locating bolt thing in that case. Thanks!

I believe that they only sweep one way due to ease of manufacturing. The sweep favours left handed vans.. there is definitely a lack of cover at the top part of a right handed van. Important to make sure that the blades sit snug and move with the flow..
