  1. anyone using led headlights? Or led dash light? Any good and where do you buy from?

If the original lights / connections and wires are all good and clean in my opinion they are very good.
The dash light is a bit too dim but, for me, led light would spoil the look and 'ambiance' of my 43year old, classic bus.
    Each to their own obviously.
There are some threads on here about it I'm sure.

  3. Be careful if your bus isn’t mot exempt. If the tester believes there is a blue tint, however small to the new led bulbs he can fail the test. There’s not an official ‘blueness’ it’s subjective on behalf of the tester. Best to swop them out for the mot.

  4. I just want to be able to see and not sure if it is just the bulb, dirt or that’s just the way it is. Thanks for help. will have a search for other convos on it but might give a clean up of wires first

  5. I tried them , didn’t like them , my eyes have too many years of standard lighting. Thought it was safer with the h4 after a while...I have nightbreakers..there pretty good.

  6. You can just put led bulbs in your dash if you want to brighten it up. Before anyone tells you they don’t work on the dimmer ,rhey do. There is a thread on it too. As fa led head lights dowhat you like but imo won’t go with old classic .

I’ve had LED headlights for a couple of years; they’re very bright and have to be aimed correctly to avoid dazzle. You also need to choose them carefully as there isn’t much room between the reflector and the bowl and those with an external cooling fan won’t fit. Mine only have a heat sink, but you can get them now with an internal fan, like these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/All...Play-and-Plug-Conversion-Kit/32740492700.html

6000k is white but above 6000k the light turns blue.

  8. If using LEDs on the instrument cluster don't stick one in the alternator/dynamo indicator as the current for the bulb affects the operation of alternator/dynamo as has been said before:)

  9. It's not the way it is. Decent reflectors and H4 bulbs in stock lamps and your headlights will be fine.

Only fit LED bulbs if you drive a Corsa and listen to drum'n'bass on a 9,000W stereo.

  10. Not sure about that. My mum used to have a blue rinse, and she never failed an MOT.

  15. I have some MK1 golf dishes to go in that will allow me to move on to h1's. I will probably use LED h1's if I can.

Are you sure they take H1? Standard Golf Mk1 uses H4 and the LED’s I linked to up there^ will fit.
