As you know i organised a Borth run some time ago , initially we had a good response and quite a few of you were up for it , unfortunately as is the way with these things people dropped out , vans weren't ready , dates clashed etc , all the same we managed to muster four vans and a few friends and did the trip anyway.

The weather took a couple of casualtys early on , Moley 76 , rickyroo1 and myself finally got the run sorta rolling , Rick and i stayed on after Moley left and enjoyed a good couple of extra nights at one iffy campsite and one gem , Morben isaf just a few miles from Machylleth , on the final day Rick and i did the Nant y moch run home fortunately Rick videoed it.

Here's a link if you want to see some of where we went -

The Nant y Moch run is just one of a few runs like that i know of in Mid Wales , so after the positive replys i have come up with a plan for another run in late august .

My idea is to meet on a Saturday morning at Rhayader Powys mid wales run up through the Elan valley and after that north to Morben isaf , stay the night then on sunday return via the Nant y moch run to Craven arms , where we will split and go our seperate ways.

there is a campsite there if anyone wants to travel down on the friday , its next to a scenic riverbank and run by the council.

Its called the wyeside campsite Rhayader and its pretty good

There will be a maximum of twelve spaces on this trip as the campsite will onl accept that many on a single booking , its likely to be the 25 of August as thats the only date i have available . , if your up for it and its a definite let me know and i will see if its worth organising , should be a good time, chillled and relaxed as always will be the only rule :).

I'm in, you've picked a great week! I'm off work from 25th on (sat) and 27th is a bank holiday so most people will be off an extra day, i'll probably stay on in Wales a few days as i don't go back to work until 3rd September.

to be honest i'm pretty much using camper jam as my one stopover show from now on, i prefer camping in small groups and driving about seeing the views rather than the pitch up friday don't move get drunk and shout over each other that a big group meet entails, i'm not knocking those of you who religiously do a lot of shows if that's your thing but all the smaller meets i've done (winster/tatton/wales) have been far more chilled than 100's of people in a field. So it's a shame the clash will put some off but it's an excuse to do it again next year, even if only me and malc went i'd enjoy it, and besides like i say, i'm off that week so i had planned to holiday anyway. (hadn't forgot the wedding dan)

We're going to do this on sat 25th , meet Rhayader mid Wales , drive through the Elan valley past the reservoirs to Aberyswyth and then stay at machyntleth for the night , coming back via Nat y moch and the mountain road .

Rick and i are doing it anyway so if you want to join us for the night post up and we can book the camp .
