I need a new Westy roof canvas. The JK one is the cheapest. But is it any good? Has anyone bought and fitted one of these? What did you think of it? It's the late model rear hinged roof. Many thanks
You get what you pay for. If it was me and having got a thick canvas l wouldn't entertain the thin stuff. You also want to look for one with big side vents and a big opening at the front. It really is worth paying extra for the openings.
The cheap ones are rubbish. They were ok if a little thin, but now they've replaced some of the zips with velcroe. Just awful.
Having lost my whole roof and bellows last May I sent the remains off to Proud to Pop as a stencil and they made a new one using an American Marine fabric that is mold and UV resistant and is a bugger to tear ( good selling point). Expensive I agree but worth it in the long run...Oh and as Birdie says think openings, Proud to Pop put extra front openings in mine even though its an Oz pop top. http://www.proudtopop.co.uk/index.html
