Just came back from Holls in Cornwall and feeling sad!

  1. My van is still in my garage awaiting my welder and grinder but whilst in Cornwall for a weeks holls I did see a handful of really nice Bay's and Brazibays on the way.
2 really nice orange ones , one of which was almost a twin of mine! :(
I kept thinking how much I miss driving it? Funny isnt it how a 40 year old rusty van can evoke such emotions? I blame the 12 hour trip home of course! Bleeding A30!!
Anyway after last years holls I have seen a distinct lack of T4's (it was T4 island before ), now it was T25's and T5's!! 2x Splits used for weddings ( both LHD) and thats it?
I have to say the number of Bays with decent body and paint finish was lacking somewhat? It was like looking down the side of a spotty teenage kids face! Why go to the trouble of a respray but not prep the high build primer/ filler properly?
Oh well at least they are roadworthy I suppose more than mine is? Pressure on to get it Mot'd and back where it belongs on the road and in constant use!

    o_O

  5. My paint is rubbish. It looks ok and puts a smile on my face driving it. If only i could actually get some time to go camping. That would be great.

  6. It don't matter, they are having fun ...:p

Must admit I am drawn more to the ratty unfinished buses than the gleaming nice ones....(if fact I would not own one):hattip:

When we had the bay I couldn't spend money or time on a nice glossy bodyvas I knew as soon as it was parked somewhere some hit would door it so why bother.

Its not the vehicle so much but the driving I enjoy so yes the T5 does do what the T2 did, I like to drive the camping is a bonus.

  9. I'm a nightmare for being over protective of my bus. I tactically park to avoid dents and mishaps. Although I'm a perfectionist on looks, I would love to have a used and a used bus, that way I would really enjoy it without the worry!
My friend has a T5 which his kids enjoy to the max, he doesn't have to worry about rust and covering it up.

  11. Get one :D

I have some mint buses, they were like hotcakes and soon got rid ,the t25 WAS quite nice when I got it , but because I had no feelings of love for it ,now it is a wreck ,but I do use it a lot...:D

What you want to do is to park on the end next to the curb leaving a free space the other side of you , and lay out one of those joke plastic vomit splatts two feet away from you ....every body avoids piles of thick sick . Some of those joke ones a really good , a bit obsessive i know but no dints .
