  3. I don't believe it shows much respect if you are doing something because you have to. Would much rather honesty in people's actions. By appreciate the real world doesn't run this way.

    Well that's a bit provocative! I hope you don't see it as being so black and white.

    As I approach middle age, I'm aware that the benefits I had as a younger adult being pulled from under our current youngsters and I can see the hardships that some of older generations are facing that the generations before them didn't face.... it's all getting tougher.

    I do hope after 47 years of work I get to enjoy to enjoy retirement, although by then I wouldn't have access to a state pension cos the age is creeping up and the bankers would have no doubt screwed up private pensions with yet another gamble!

    But hey ho, it's all fun and games and occasionally someone falls in their sword...

    I'm sure they will but may well have to work for more than 47 years to earn it and it may not be as generous as it is currently.

    i retired after 47 years " on the shop floor" i had enough it was still 3 years before my pension , the younger generation don,t live for tomorrow they only live for today , my youngest pays supertax but never saves just spends it but well its his choice
