No i cant take the credit for that Im terrible at photos but its somthing i intend to spend more time with when the paravans finished
Awesome creatures Who ever took that must have clicked a noise just before they took the picture There is no way you would get that close upwind
Ive probably got it the wrong way round If the wind is blowing from behind you then deer will smell you before your in noise range and dissapear To sneak up on most animals you need to have the wind blowing in your face and keep the noise down
A good stalker will be able to get you that close if you are careful, as @paradox said the wind has to be into your face. We might be off in a couple of nights to knock over some of the local bambi population, bloody feral animals
Rich tourists see it as a trophy hunt though and dont respond well to being told to shut up by some young upstart They fail to realise without a ghilie they would probably go round in circles and die up there Nature and science dont understand a credit card and a range rover
Why do we feel we have to explain ourselves when we obtain free range wild meat for the freezer Yet people who buy there meat never have to? Pest control is the thing thats hard to debate
It's the way of the modern world, no one wants to see how their dinner got from the land to their plate. They don't want to think that the lamb roast for Sunday dinner is from the happy wee lamb they say playing in a field a couple of weeks earlier.
Your a little older than me don by enough to be my father What you said was what my father started saying to me in about 98 It was very apt and correct at the time The thing is i dont think we can blame most people for what we may say is obvious and we may say they are ignorant for not knowing There has been that much has changed across the last 3 generations of human kind The modern human mind isnt educated to feed cloth and shelter itself Its programed to remember keystrokes,webb addys,pin numbers,pascodes etc etc etc As someone else kept saying in a thread the othernight Education is whats needed for our young folk across a wide bias They will need it to survive soon enough as life as we know it will fall onto harder times
