I like a challenge and due to rarity of RHD sliders wondered if this is salvageable ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-VW-...644975?hash=item54721b4e2f:g:nm4AAOSwjkhdGzyD
Can't really tell how badly buckled it is from those pics ....the top section looks like it has been bent rather than heat distortion .
Fairly expensive but would be worth trying to rescue it, suspect the top frame is buckled with heat, lower half still looks the right shape, no filler or old repairs visible. Open negotiaitions.
It’s scrap bin fodder. The heat will have buckled it so much it would take a ton of filler to make it look anything like acceptable. You will be able to find much better than that for £150
Here’s one that’s better and almost half the price Sliding door https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?sh....php?threads/Sliding-door.85900/&share_type=t
Thanks for all the replies.I think I will definitely pass on this one as the more I look at it the wonkier it gets .
Yes, I would say so. But unless it’s the last one on earth I wouldn’t try to fix it even if it were free.
