Is this normal in a brasil carb?

    in investigating poor running on my new bus and I’ve got the carb apart for a third time! My fault I’m in too much of s rush to drive my new toy! Anyway I’m looking at the throttle spindle and there is movement side to side along the shaft if you like. Carb doesn’t seem very old (2000 miles) the shaft doesn’t wobble in the carb just you can push it in and out a little

    That’s not unusual , had anyone owned up to making the carb of is it a no name, has it ever run right ?

    It's a 1600 sp was running lovely before it ran low on fuel. I've stripped and cleaned it with compressed air. Just about to adjust choke as it doesn't seem to be closing when cold.
