to take the anti roll bar off my camper, I’m off fishing tomorrow ( yipeeee) and was hoping to take the camper but the lane down to the lake is as rough as Wayne Rooneys granny girlfriend, the PO fitted a dropped beam making it almost impossible to drive down it, now I could go on a diet or remove the anti roll bar, is this possible and will it be safe to drive without it??

They are built for off road. Check out off roading bay vw campers on you tube. They jump well, too. (You might lose your kettle).

I have no idea what an MOT has to do with this, a piece of paper would not physically stop you from removing it, if the worse were to happen you would have to explain why the fitted as standard bar was removed MOT or not, as far as I am aware if one is fitted as standard that would be an MOT failure. Best go steady, my split has no anti roll bar they were not fitted as standard on the very early buses, I would say it drives OK but it is an early split so I wont.

That's simply not true is it.

I agree they are much better than most people might suspect, but if 2 wheel drive was better off road than 4 wheel drive there would have more than zero world rally car championship winners over the last 35 years that weren't 4wd.

Land Rovers are known for that one attribute to be fair.

    ?

You seen the tyres on the kubelwagen? Seen the road tyres on the disco?

You were talking about T2's and 'any landrover'....so I'll nominate a defender or a forward control on off-road tyres v a bay on the same.
