Interior Door Handles 1974

Hi, tried to fit new chrome handles to my 1974 cali import over the weekend.. The new handles are a completely different fitting to the door but were listed as correct for 1974. Anybody know where I can get chrome single lever handles with the fitting like the pic? Everywhere seems to list the ones I've bought..

 

I had the exact same issue when I got given some for free off a friend, but unfortunately why they are different i cannot help sorry

 

Take the rivets out and bolt the chrome handles to the original base. Easy.

 

Might come to that but would rather find the correct part.. Not sure how easily I'd be able to reattach the handle to the old base..

 

I dont think they exist. You can get new handles with black pulls from bus-ok.de , so you can try moving the chrome handle across without attacking your existing ones.

Cool, how did you re attach the new chrome pull to the old base?

 

I'm sure i was able to reuse the pin from the new handle as it was slightly longer
and left just enough to peen the end over again.
