Glad you're home safe and sound. We had loads more snow couldn't really ski the Wednesday. Saturday the campsite was covered. Will try to post photos later.
Great - I look forward to seeing the photos. If this thing does take off we'll have to move this to the Events Section. Hope you had or having a good trip back to Guernsey.
Don't forget the pics. Glad you're both back ok - the weather must have made it a challenging journey?
I'm sure a lot of people on here will relate to the apprehension you describe when we have a long journey and our vans are not running at 100% Especially when ferries etc are involved. Hope it's nothing too serious and quite sure you will be able to fix it. Thanks a lot for the description of your journey home. Hope to see you both again - maybe next year in Venosc!
Glad to read you got back OK (just) even in an air-cooled and enjoyed reading all the posts and @Sick Boy 's blog.
Latest update on points. I made the mistake of taking them out first before checking. A. If there was spark. B. Or they were closed. Noticed this though, in the distributor cap. Unusual to say the least..... So put the points back in and "set" them to .45mm ready to pull a plug and see if there was a spark. Cranked it first on the off chance it might start anyway.... It did and first time. I was completely astounded. I left it on tickover for a bit to let the auto chokes cut out and then took the doggies for a walk. The upshot of this is that the points had probably closed up gradually due to creeping. A good lesson learnt and hopefully others might find my experience of use. It was, after all, a 1200 mile round trip with a tight deadlines and under the circumstances we were lucky.
