If you could do it all again ?

Ok, so if you could turn the clock back and "do it all again" what ? if anything, would you differently ?


I think, instead of "getting a trade" and not just any trade, but one I was pushed into by my dad, I wish I would have gone into the building industry and learned one of the skills involved, Carpentry / Bricklaying / Electrics or Plumbing, I believe if I had done that, I would now be in a different position, I reckon I would have a building business and probably own more houses, but, its all water under the bridge and I might be worse off than I am now, so I do not have any regrets, but I do wonder what I could have achieved for myself had I gone down that different path.....................how bout you guys ?

 

Wish i hadn't dicked about as much at school and actually learned something instead of being in the same sort of job (warehousing) for nearly all my life, also wish i'd stuck with the 1st mrs lol (not really) but my mortgage would be paid and i was due to retire at 49 with all the pensions and plans i had in place......instead i chose to put it about a bit and now i need to work 'til im 65 and live on a crap pension.....hahahhaha doh!

 

I would have gone to university and studied architecture or engineering. I would also have picked the times at work where my mouth would have been better staying shut.

 

no I dont think I'd do anything differently, my life has made me who I am and my life has been pretty cool on the whole, happily married to my childhood sweet heart, two healthy boys, I'm in good health ( a little chubby but heyho) house is paid off, I have professional status, only have to work part time, and have a sweet bus on the drive. 8)

 

You can't think like that mate

I'm a great believer in fate and you are what you are

Just be thankful for what you have and that you will hopefully live a long, happy and fruiful life

We all go through stages where we think "could have done this, should have done that" but it achieves nor changes nothing.

I would like to go back in time to when I was younger and not very confident and took loads of pap of people !! I wouldn't now!! Wish I had partied more too!

Without getting too serious, wanting to change parts of your life is part of making you what you are. You learn from your mistakes and wanting to change the past may lead you to make those changes now instead. I plan on doing a degree, inspired by my wish i'd done it already.

 

I'd have sat right on my arse and kept on playing my guitar, ignoring what everone said. 8)

 

i would have bought the complete westy EB instead of my late, both were for sale by the same guy at the same time

 

There is so many things I should have done differently but I try not to dwell on them.

I would have gone to art college in September 1987. Instead, in the summer of '87 (when I was 18), I got a summer job as an apprentice in an accountancy firm. It was only meant to be a 2-month job. Alas, 24 years later, I'm still at it, but running my own accountancy firm nowadays.

 

Worry about the past? Heck, I'm in enough strife worrying about the future. I haven't time to worry about past stuff-ups.

 

if we are talking going back to any age with what we know now?
i would go back to a child and concentrate on football and aim to make a living out of something I love! instead of now I make a living being away from what I love! I will make it home for good one day

 

Thinking about it, the only thing I wish had done was to have gone travelling for a year or so when in my early 20s.

But then it just wasn't meant to be I suppose.

Fortunately I am now in a position to travel and enjoy some cracking holidays.

And NOW I have my bus which is one of my dreams.

 

I could probably have done with going to senior school for more than 3 years, and maybe getting some GCSE's then going on to doing a smart job like what smart people do. But hey ho, I knew best when i was 14 doh.

I truth, I dont do too bad, and am quite happy
