Well the local pigeons have been scoffing all the bird seed/food I thought I had beaten them with twig fencing around Bill the blackbirds diner which worked they just walked around and around it ,,,,but ,,,,,then they took on the hanging feeders ,not a lot of room for them to stand on them and feed BUT they mastered it They jumped up from the ground hung on with their feet and flapped their wings whilst galloping as much seed as they could. Betty said she had seen a feeder that made this impossible soooo I copied it with a few mods to our existing ones tra la plastic food bowl He didn’t have much luck for the first two days ,THEN , he was jumping up and swinging it backward and forward till the seed dropped to the ground ,,,,,,,then scoffed away so I’ve taken it down and am thinking sod him I will sell as table lamps . Haha . They are greedy though aren't they. I take its those big wood pigeons.The ones that sit in the road and only move when ya cars 1 foot off squashing them.
Who did that comedy sketch were they were dressed up as massive pigeons. Might have been a monty python one. Either way the sparrows are no match for them. What you need is a song thrush.
Got it ,It was trigger happy tv. Massive pigeon sketch lol I heard a wood pecker in the wood near me. There a bit of a head banger aren't they.
