Yeah okay i will promise by a week on sunday y will see picks of me with 400 grit paper preping the body if not then yes birdy will have to come over in the bus and convince me to paint it jaffa

well my bay is still in primer after 8 months and although running have not used it much this summer, after the engine blew up on me and all the stress of getting a second hand lump put in iam finding it hard to get motivated.

i need to get my arse into gear and get it painted and the interior done.

can someone please inspire me

please feel free to make suggestions on colour schmes, ride hight interiors ect as shes currently a blank canvas

We're about 6 months away from April. Surely that's when you want to hit the road? That gives you 26 weeks. Sit down and write out a plan of what you need to do. And stick to it. And keep reminding yourself just how great you're going to feel when you first pull out onto the road. Remind yourself of all the meets you're going to go to. All the other buses you'll pass on the road. The waves. The flashing lights. The camping trips. The people you're going to meet.

26 weeks. You can achieve a lot in that time if you put your mind to it.

you have been driving around in a van just in primer

you do know that primer is porous don't you ? and that water is now eating into your metal work

It's only semi porous and all paint, including lacquer is porous to some extent. Primer isn't a major problem unless you leave it for years like that.

yeah iam gutted i could not get down but i kept myself busy on the sunday.

flatted and spot primed half the body hope fully have that done by next week then iam gonna strip her interior out and do prep the interior metal

Well at the mo its going to be bloomin bright jaffa with a white roof or pale blue with a white roof

I wanted it metalic purple but for a first paint job i thought metalic would not be a good move
